How To Use Your Marketing Materials

You’ve probably heard a thousand times how important it is to have business cards and other marketing materials at your disposal, but do you know how to use them? Learning how to showcase your marketing collateral is just as important as learning how to create them.

Leave-Behinds

Anything from a bright and bold flyer to a pen with your name and number on it makes a great leave-behind. Ask for permission to leave marketing materials in doctor’s waiting rooms, pharmacies, senior centers, and even grocery stores. Leave materials anywhere that seniors and Medicare eligibles may see them. It’s a quick and easy way to generate leads.

Referrals

According to CMS compliance, you can’t legally ask for referrals. What you can do is leave your clients with lots of branded materials that their friends and family may see. Instead of postcards, bring magnets. Instead of flyers, bring coasters, pens, or mugs. Leave your mark so that others can find you. You can also leave a few extra business cards and tell your clients that they can pass them on to friends if they so choose.

Networking

You should ALWAYS have business cards with you. You never know when you may run into a potential client! Anyone from your neighbor to a stranger you run into at the store can become a client. Always be ready to hand over your contact information.

Remember, all your marketing materials should be bright, bold, and easy to read. Seniors want their Medicare search to be easy and they probably won’t look high and low for you. If your information is difficult to find, they’ll find someone else’s first.
